THE HAPPY LIVER SOCIETY'S ANNUAL SPRING FLING GALA IS SET FOR MAY 25th IN RICHMOND, BC. - TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW!
Even though Richie Hayward has left us way too soon, there are many people in dire need of liver transplants as well as many others needing education about liver health and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all forms of liver disease.
The Happy Liver Society of BC is a registered nonprofit society. The orginization is raising funds to support Stacey House and to promote awareness of liver disease to the greater public. They promote immunization for hepatitis A and B, testing of all people for hepatitis C, and early screening and detection of liver disease in general. They are out in the public sharing information and helping the public to forget their misconceptions of liver disease. Hepatitis C is the number one reason for liver transplants in Canada.
This year's Annual "Spring Fling Gala" will be held on May 25th 2012 in Richmond, BC.
Dr. Eric Yoshida, the department head at B.C Transplant in Vancouver, will be honored at this year's event. Dr. Yoshida is also the head of the hepatitis program for British Columbia, who has saved many lives thru his hard work and caring.
