Rest in peace brother Marc
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great friend and most avid supporter, Marc Joseph. If you worked in the band’s grassroots ranks over the past couple of decades, or went to Jamaica on our Annual Extravaganzas, chances are great you crossed paths with Marc, a gentle giant of a man who loved this band as much as life. It wasn’t hard to see, because he was always promoting our music, helping to build our grassroots team and roaring enthusiastically near the front of the stage during our shows. Seeing his friendly face in the crowd always gave us comfort. But his loss, right after Sandy Hook and right before Christmas, is hard to take. At a time when all of us are looking to be closer to those we care about, we have lost a fine man. Marc will be in our thoughts as we prepare to run through his stomping grounds in the Northeast on an East Coast Run. And we’re sure his presence will be felt and his memory honored by those who knew him as we come through. But for now, we’ll reflect on our memories of Marc and all he meant to us. He was a hell of a man, and one of our greatest fans. Rest in peace Marc. You meant the world to us.
