The Feat bassist that we all know and love will be taking the stage with young rockers, Steel Toed Slippers at The Mint in Los Angeles, California. Steel Toed Slippers will be opening directly for TR3, the side project for Dave Matthews Band's lead guitarist, Tim Reynolds. In 2012, "Uncle Kenny" took Steel Toed Slippers into the studio to record their debut full length album and will at last be performing a full live set with them for the first time. A mix of Little Feat tunes along with some Steel Toed originals can be expected, and maybe some other surprises! Chris Norton, the current touring keyboardist for Zappa Plays Zappa, will be joining the band as an honorary Slipper for the evening as well. When STS drummer, Matt Moss, was hanging around a Little Feat sound check at age 6, he was unexpectedly picked up by Richie Hayward, put down on the drum throne and was told to play. Kenny along with Fred, Bill, Paul, Sam, and Shawn joined in. This was the first time Matt had ever played with any other musicians and on Nov 15th, things will come full circle. This will be a special funky night of music that should not be missed by any music fan in the greater Los Angeles area. Tickets for this possible sell out show are on sale now, get them in advance while you can.
