08.06.08 - "UNDERCOVER" PICKS.

"Willin'", Little Feat with Brooks and Dunn
Written in 1970 and recorded in three different versions, "Willin'" is a highly regarded tune off of Little Feat's debut self-titled album. As described by John Tobler, "Willin'" "quickly became a favorite among America’s truckdrivers, many of whom continue to regard it as the anthem of their profession . . . although absurdly it never has been a hit." It's resonance as a classic rings true today, as Little Feat collaborate with Brooks and Dunn on this hymnic tune.

"Oh Atlanta", Little Feat with Chris Robinson
As a band that is known for mixing an eclectic group of music genres such as blues, R&B, Country, and Rock and Roll, it makes perfect sense that Little Feat would choose to collaborate with The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson on their hit "Oh Atlanta." Similarly, The Black Crowes have been crossing musical boundaries since their start in the 80's. Their teamwork on "Oh Atlanta" has produced perfection in a song and reminds us why great music never dies.
