Supporting Malibu nonprofit, Safety Harbor Kids, Team DeJoria - one of four drivers competing to win prize money for their charity - is taking a Toyota Tundra pickup and turning it into a desert racer. Supporters and fans will vote for the DeJoria car to win the challenge and the $50,000 in prize money for her charity, Safety Harbor Kids. Voting will take place October 20th through October 29th and fans can vote once a day and have a chance to win prizes including a Toyota Racing "Dream Trip".

            Alexis, whose father is John Paul DeJoria who co-founded the John Paul Mitchell Systems line of hair-care products, is carrying on the family tradition of competitive excellence and philanthropy as John Paul is also a community leader in helping homeless children learn to get jobs.  Alexis' charity, Safety Harbor Kids helps educate parentless and homeless children in the areas of college, career, music and the arts.
